Special Abilities[]
Angling are especially small among Water-type Pokémon. By using their cute eyes as a defense mechanism, they convince predators to hunt for other Pokémon instead.
Behavior[]
Angling are especially small among Water-type Pokémon. They are docile Pokémon, even to the point of laziness. They often float near the surface water and enjoy jumping out to attack Trainers at random. They use their eyes a defense mechanism to convince predators to hunt for other Pokémon instead. They seem to have an extreme aversion to trash, however; Trainers can keep these playful Pokémon away by having a Trubbish or Garbodor out, or by spraying a Repel, which, to Pokémon, smells like trash.
Habitat[]
It appears that, due to their delicate scales, Angling can only survive in waters that don't have the slightest bit of pollution. Thus, they make good house pets, as they often take it upon themselves to eat the algae that will grow on the side of their tanks. Though many state otherwise, an Angling is perfectly healthy with this diet, so long as they get actual fish food sometimes. Wild Angling are very commonly found within Rikoto. They are found by Surfing in Soltree Town, Mossy Town, Thundrome Pass, the Cycling Path, Goldune Cave, Goldune City, Fallrock Valley and in Routes 1-5. It is most commonly encountered by fishing with the Old Rod in every place you can find it by Surfing, as well as in Tropic Cave, at the Fishing Contest, Rainbow Reef, Coralite Town, Lake Bliss and Routes 10-12 and Routes 14-16. It's even found by fishing with the Good Rod in the Thundrome Pass, at the Cycling Path, in Goldune City, in Fallrock Valley and in Route 5.
Shiny Coloration Differences[]
For Shiny Angling, the pink turns purple and the eyes turn a sea green color.

One might consider Angling as the Magikarp of Rikoto; both are Water-types that are weak in Battle and are very commonly found, but they have the potential to Evolve into very powerful Pokémon if trained properly.
