The Crestlight Gym is the official Gym of Crestlight City, and based on Dark-type Pokémon. The building is closed at first, but will be opened after meeting the Gym Leader Damon in Blackleaf Woods. The Gym has a maze-like character, containing one right path to Damon and several dead-end rooms with a trainer. In addition, the player has to navigate with scarce vision, similar to caves. Victorious players will receive the Darkness Badge.

- Prior to Pokemon Sword and Shield, there were no official Dark-type Gyms. The first official Dark-type Gym Leader is Piers of the Spikemuth Gym.
