Casspring is a dual-type Bug/Flying-type Pokémon.

It evolves from Jumple starting at level 22.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Casspring are camouflage green bug Pokemon, with two yellowish-green long antennae and large legs ending in coil shapes. The upper part of its legs are black in color. It has a pair of minuscule wings, and bright yellow eyes. Its black forearms are rather small, and it has a fairly small, stubby tail, with a black tip. Its head has a large, black covering, and the rest of its body alternates between black and green stripes. The frontal part of its neck, which goes down to its belly, has a striped pattern that is a dull brown color.

Gender Differences[]

None.

Special abilities[]

By coiling up its legs like springs, Casspring can jump very high; up to fifty feet in the air. Once in the air, it can flap its wings one hundred times per second to stay airborne. If it jumps high enough, it can kick opponents powerfully. Casspring can also focus on distance rather than height, and can jump away from predators quickly. Casspring are rarely seen on the ground, but can be spotted easily when flying.

Behavior[]

Casspring is very timid, preferring flight over fight (literally). Their legs act like springs, allowing them to jump very high. People are often startled when they land from the sky out of nowhere. However, it can be swayed if tempted by its favorite food, lettuce. In the wild, Casspring are omnivores, usually eating plants and leaves but also grabbing small insects mid-flight. They also seem to have an aversion to large flashes of light, making it hard to take a photo of them and causing them to hide when thunder is heard.

Habitat[]

Casspring will live anywhere that there is food and water. However, they seem to have an affinity to places with lots of tall rocks, slopes, and crags, such as Victory Road. Wild Casspring are found in Headbutt Trees in the Wild Plains.

Shiny Coloration Differences[]

For Shiny Casspring, the green body turns blue, with the top of its head having a lighter shade, while the eyes turn green.

Trivia[]

Origin[]

Casspring is based on a grasshopper. Its Shiny Coloration, as well as its high Speed Stat, may be a reference to Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's Mascot.

Name origin[]

Casspring's name comes from the words cast and spring, as in a Slinky toy.
