Origin[]
Rollie is based off a baby African Elephant. The Water Absorb ability is a reference to how elephants love to drink and swim in water, and they would need to do so to absorb some water to avoid getting sunburn. It possibly could also have took inspiration from Phan Phan from the Kirby Franchise.
Name origin[]
Rollie's name comes from Roll and possibly Ellie, the name of the elephant buddy from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's Double Trouble.
Meanwhile, its old name, Rollphant, comes from Roll and elephant.
