Stickit is a dual-type Bug/Grass Pokémon.

It evolves into Stickut starting at level 20.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Stickit are brown beetle-like Pokémon. They have a light orange head with two large eyes with black pinprick pupils, a light orange underbelly, and a sapling branching out of their head. The sapling has green leaves and a brown stick. Like most beetles, they have a hard shell on their back, typically used to protect themselves and other Stickit from predators. Stickit's back is brown in color. Although beetles have six legs, Stickit only has four, being brown in color.

Gender Differences[]

None.

Special Abilities[]

Stickit are not very powerful in terms of special abilities. They will burrow underground near the roots of trees in order to stay asleep, while protecting themselves against predators with their tough backs.

Behavior[]

Stickit burrow themselves underground when in danger, and in order to sleep. They protect each other from predators with their hard backs while acting like a 'shield'.

Habitat[]

Stickit reside in forested areas, and nest in an underground hole they make. Wild Stickit are found in the Mossy Forest.

Shiny Coloration Differences[]

For Shiny Stickit, the light orange head and underbelly turn yellow, the leaves turn a lighter shade of green, and the brown legs, back and sapling stick turn a brownish-red color.

Trivia[]

  • A girl in Serpentine City mentions that the Dullfern Forest and Mossy Forest were once the same, yet Stickit is only found in the latter.
  • Stickut's 2nd normal ability was Leaf Guard in the demo.
  • Prior to 1.0.1, Stickit uses Pidgeotto's cry.
  • Stickit's original name was Stickwig.

Origin[]

Stickit is obviously based on a beetle, being similar in appearance and being classified as a Beetle Pokémon.

Name origin[]

Stickit's name comes the words Stick and it, as it is able to stick to anything. Meanwhile, Stickit's original name, Stickwig, comes from Stick and earwig, the latter word being the classification for Stickut, the Evolved Form of Stickit.
