Taraterror is a Pokémon that looks like a large tarantula. It has eight brown legs with black tips, with the back six having fur near its abdomen, which has a white skull-shaped marking on its back, and purple fur connecting the sides of the back of its head and its legs. Its black head has two brown fangs and five red eyes, with the two closer to its fangs being larger than the other three.

Habitat[]
Taraterror live inside dead tree trunks in dark forests. Wild Taraterror are found in Headbutt trees in Goopool Swamp and in the caves at Victory Isle.
Shiny Coloration Differences[]
For Shiny Taraterror, the red eyes and purple fur turn green, while the legs turn a more dull brown, and the head and the abdomen turn a lighter shade of black.

Taraterror is based upon the tarantula, a species of mildly venomous spider that can be found in the Brazilian Rain forest and other humid areas. It could also possibly be based off the Goliath Bird-eater Tarantula, due to its large size.
