Its shell is a muddy brown, and has numerous grey hills that have sprouted miniature trees. Separating the top of the shell from the bottom is a sandy brown line. Its belly is a dirty grey color, much like the mounds that have formed on the top of its shell. It is quadrupedal, with green legs, each possessing two claws. On the top of its head is an armored helmet-like cranium, with similar color and decoration to its shell. Its eyes are blue in color.
Forestone has a hard shell that allows it to protect itself from powerful attacks. It has the ability to summon leaves and rocks to attack opponents. It has a very hard, powerful head that is used to perform powerful smashing moves.
Forestone is known to be a "protector" Pokémon, guarding the forest and Pokémon that live inside it from trouble. It is more aggressive than Herovor, but only to intruders.
It mostly lives in tall grass in forests where other Forestone, Herovor and a leader Mountree will live.
Forestone supports smaller Pokémon, and helps grow wildlife in its habitat by spreading seeds that grow on its leaves.
