Trivia

  • Frugon has the highest base HP stat of all Dragon-type Pokémon, as well as the highest base HP stat among all of the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon in the game.
  • Frugon's head somewhat resembles that of Noibat's.
  • Frugon's Evolutionary line replaced that of Meleon's.
  • Excluding alternate forms, the Applin line has the same Type combination as Frugon and its evolutionary relatives.
    • Counting alternate forms, however, Alolan Exeggutor and Mega Sceptile are the only other official Grass/Dragon-type Pokémon.

Origin

Frugon is based on a dragon and dragonfruit, mixed in with European Dragons and possibly also takes inspiration from the Pokemon, Salamence.

Name Origin

Frugon's name comes from a combination of the words Fruit and dragon.
