Trivia

  • Gemmany, at one point, was a Psychic/Rock Type, and it also had a similar Body structure to Plusle or Minun.
  • Gemmany's Type combination is very rare among official Pokémon. As of the Crown Tundra Expansion Pass of Pokémon Sword and Shield, the only official Pokémon that are also Rock/Fairy-types are Carbink and (Mega) Diancie.

Origin

Gemmany is based on a mouse and jewelry.

Name Origin

Gemmany's name comes from the words Gem and many referring to its Pokédex entry stating it collects any gems it finds.

Its name also could possibly be a play on the Zodiac Sign, "Gemini" due to how its name sounds and it sports twin tails, in which Gemini is also Latin for "Twins".
