Glowing's old design was very different; its head looked a lot like Butterfree's. Its abdomen was almost completely black with electric blue spots and an electric blue LED at the bottom of its abdomen. Its wings were a lot smaller and more like generic. It has only one antenna on its head, with the end having an electric blue orb shape.
Glowing is based on both a firefly and a glowworm.
