Hippond is a Pokémon based off of a baby hippopotamus. Its body is a murky blue, with its nostrils having murky blue water in them, two small murky blue ears, two eyes with pinprick pupils, and light brown mud covering the lower half of its body. It also has a small tail that's a murky blue and mud on the lower half of it.

In an earlier version of the Pokédex, Hippond was called "Hipplash."
It's old design is a bit similar to its current design's Shiny Coloration. The differences are that the old design had a bright aqua color, and the mud was a dark gray color.
