Jellinip is a dual-type Water/Poison Pokémon.

It evolves from Jellitot♀ starting at level 32 and evolves into Jelliqueen starting at level 44.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Jellinip is a larger pink Jellyfish Pokémon compared to its previous Evolution. It has four white tentacles at the base of its body, four lighter pink things where the base of its tentacles are, an awkward darker pink growth in the middle of the base, a narrow light pink neck, a light pink bump on the top of its head, and a darker pink spherical face with two pinprick eyes and a fairly large smile.

Gender Differences[]

None, since it's always Female.

Special Abilities[]

Using their many tentacles, Jellinip entangles their foes, then submerges them in toxic clouds. The cloud of poison decomposes in a few minutes, though.

Behavior[]

Jellinip use their many tentacles to entangle their foes, then they submerge them in a toxic cloud that decomposes within a few minutes.

Habitat[]

Wild Jellinip are found by Surfing at the Fishing Contest, by Fishing with the Super Rod in Sailport Town and on Route 13, and by Diving in Rainbow Reef.

Shiny Coloration Differences[]

For Shiny Jellinip, all of the pink turns green, with the spherical face and the awkward growth at the base having a darker shade.

Trivia[]

  • In its old design, Jellinip had a purple base, and a purplish-pink head and neck, with the former having three bumps instead of the single one in its current design. The tentacles were thinner and it didn't have the awkward growth at its base, either.
  • Prior to Version 1.0.1, Jellinip, both Jellitot, and Jellitic all use Jellicent's Cry.

Origin[]

Jellinip is based on a jellyfish.

Name Origin[]

Jellinip comes from Jellyfish and nip, which is also associated with Salanip.
