Trivia

Lunape Old Sprite 5.0

  • Despite being known as an Ape Pokémon, and having "ape" in its name, Lunape is technically a monkey, as it has a tail.
  • In its old design, Lunape had a mainly darker colored body, smaller cream ears without insides, two antennae at the top of its head, a pointed-tipped tail, cream feet with a cyan circle on the bottom and three toes each, two cyan circles for eyebrows instead of a crescent moon on its forehead, no neck fur, a differently patterned chest and belly with a cyan ring with a cream circle inside, two cream hands that weren't clenched into fists and cyan just behind the wrists that didn't have crescent moon-shaped markings, and two very light pink irises. It was originally smiling, as well.
  • Prior to Version 1.0.1, Lunape uses Pikachu's cry.

Origin

Lunape is based on an monkey with accents of the moon.

Name Origin

Lunape's name comes from a combination of the words Lunar and ape.
