Markrush is a dual-type Water/Electric Pokémon.

It evolves from Sharko starting at level 37.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Markrush is a Pokémon based on a mako shark. The top of its body is black, and the rest of its body is white; the body has a striped pattern in the middle. It also has a fairly large white bolt-shaped tail, two nostrils, a face with a smiling angry expression, a black shark fin, two dorsal fins that are black with white at the front, and two yellow eyes with pinprick black pupils, and black on the outside.

Special Abilities[]

Markrush are the fastest aquatic Pokémon found in Rikoto, and have a tendency to envelop themselves in electricity when charging, based on their ability to learn Wild Charge and Volt Tackle by level-up. They constantly swim at high speeds, even while sleeping, so their gills stay oxygenated.

Behavior[]

Like real-life mako sharks, they presumably do not attack larger targets unless provoked, and certainly appear more docile than their relatives Hamawl and Silvicious, based on how happy they are after being caught from the wild. They are constantly swimming at high speeds through the ocean's depths, even while sleeping. this behavior keeps their gills oxygenated.

Habitat[]

They live mostly in warmer waters at greater depths, requiring the use of fishing rods to locate them. Wild Markrush are found by Fishing with the Super Rod In Rainbow Reef, in Coralite Town and on Routes 8 and 10.

Shiny Coloration Differences[]

For Shiny Markrush, the black turns a dark blue-green and the eyes turn bright green.
