Purrlit is a Fire-type Pokémon.

It evolves into Purryo starting at level 16, which evolves into Flearoe starting at level 36.

Biology[]

Physiology[]

Purrlit is a quadrupedal, feline-like Pokémon with sandy yellow fur at the very tip of its orange tail. This will become a visible flame when Purrlit Evolves. It is a sandy yellow color in general with different markings of orange and yellow over its body. It possesses a small flick of hair on the top of the center of its head, to appear more appealing to Trainers. It has two eyes with bright green irises. It has large ears that are colored orange, yellow, black and sandy brown which allows it to hear things from long distances. Its coloring also allows it to blend in with and provide camouflage against its normal natural surroundings.

Gender Differences[]

None.

Special Abilities[]

Purrlit has the ability to use various pyrotechnic attacks. Its tail allows it to set objects alight, much like a match, or perform a powerful slap. It possesses small claws on its feet, which allows it to scratch opponents. Purrlit is also known to kick sand regularly, and so can attack with numerous sand-related attacks. Purrlit are very playful Pokémon and are easily distracted by the smallest things. One can tell how happy a Purrlit is by the size of the flame on its tail.

Behavior[]

Purrlit is always kind towards and very playful with other Pokémon. However, it's easily distracted by the smallest things, and it always wants to be the center of attention, causing some issues. One can tell how happy a Purrlit is by the size of the flame on its tail.

Habitat[]

Purrlit are scarce in the wild, but can occasionally be found in large open plains and small deserts, or near urban areas.

Shiny Coloration Differences[]

For Shiny Purrlit, the sandy yellow color turns white, the bright orange and bright yellow turn a lighter shade of their respective colors, and the bright green irises turn a bright blue.

Trivia[]

  • Purrlit has been through numerous name changes, being previously known as Furpaw and Furclaw, as well as numerous design changes.
  • Prior to 1.0.1, Purrlit uses Charmander's cry.

Origin[]

  • Purrlit appears to be based on a sand cat due to its visual similarities and the Types of its Evolutions.

Name origin[]

  • Purrlit is a blend of purr, an onomatopoeia for the sound a contented or relaxed cat may make, and lit (as in a candle or torch).
  • Its first old name, Furpaw, is a blend of Fur and paw, while its other old name, Furclaw, is a blend and Fur and claw.

Creator's Note[]

Purrlit was one of the first Pokémon I designed. I wanted it to be based on a desert cat. I had the idea of a cat that can control sand and create sandstorms; that's where the Ground type in its Evolutions came from. Also, with it being a Fire starter, I gave it a torch on its tail. I also wanted to give it an Egyptian feel, thus the different colored lines on it and its Evolutions' bodies.
