Rexite is a dual-type Rock/Fire Pokémon.

Rexite evolves into Tarexite starting at level 37.

Rexite is related to Stegron, since both are revived from Fossils.

Biology

Physiology

Rexite is a young Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its body is mainly a greenish-gray. It has a bluish-gray tail with a red flame at the tip, two greenish-gray legs with three red claws on each foot, two short green-gray arms with three claws on each hand, a tan jawline and belly, two white eyes with yellow irises and pinprick black pupils, and the middle of the front and the top of its head are red.

Gender Differences

None.

Special Abilities

While hunting, the flame on Rexite's tail burns more intensely, flickering like a heartbeat. This causes a huge boost in its capabilities.

Behavior

The flame on Rexite's tail burns more intensely while hunting, flickering like a heartbeat. This causes a huge increase in its capabilities.

Habitat

There are no Wild Rexite in the game, but you can receive one by reviving a Teeth Fossil. One can be obtained in the Goldune Cave, but don't worry if you chose the Plate Fossil instead; you'll get a Teeth Fossil in Rassic City.

Shiny Coloration Differences

For Shiny Rexite, the pupils turn light blue, the red turns brown, the tan turns a slightly brighter shade, and the greenish-gray turns a dark gray. The flame at the tip of its tail stays the same, however.

Trivia

  • Rexite shares some resemblance to Raptorch from Pokemon Uranium.
  • In its old design, Rexite resembles Charmander quite a bit. the red was a deeper shade, the body was mainly light gray, and the flame looks quite like Charmander's.
  • Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are official fossil Pokémon based on the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
    • However, Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are part Dragon-type, not part Fire-type.
  • Prior to 1.0.1, Rexite uses Rampardos cry.

Rexite's Old Sprite 5.0

Origin

Rexite is based on a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Name origin

Rexite's name comes from Rex, as in Tyrannosaurus Rex, and excite, due to Rexite being excitable Pokémon when hunting.
