Route 2 is the second route in Rikoto. It connects west from Dullfern Forest and north to Crestlight City.

Route Description

Route 2 isn't similar to early routes of other regions, because Mossy Forest and Dullfern Forest both function as a route as well. There are five Trainer battles in total, of which the second one is against your friend Keira. Departing south from the gateway of Crestlight City, the player can jump over four ledges to go back to Dullfern Forest without walking through the tall grass.

Trainers with a telephone symbol by their names will give their Pokégear number to the player, and may call or be called for a rematch with higher-level Pokémon.

In the middle of Route 2 Keira is waiting for you. She will tell you more about Apricorn trees that grow on several routes in Rikoto. After the battle, she will give you an Apricorn Basket as a small present.

Trivia

  • In Pokémon Solar Light & Lunar Dark, Route 2 isn't the first place where you have your first Trainer battle that isn't against one of your Rivals.
    • For this reason, Route 2 has the highest leveled Pokémon of all second routes of a region.
  • This is also the first area in the game where Weather Conditions appear.
