Skeledeep are made up of the bones of dead fish. They live deep in the ocean, so they are rarely seen by people. Due to this, not much is known about it.
Mega Evolution[]
When Skeledeep Mega Evolves, it gains a much more fearsome appearance. Its body is elongated, its tail is no longer bony, its dorsal fins are longer, it gains two additional fins near its tail, its back has more bones, the fin at the top is larger, its eyes are in an angry expression, it has four teeth, and its horn is larger and curves backwards a little bit.

Habitat[]
Skeledeep live in the deepest depths of the ocean. They are accustomed to the absolute darkness of their habitat, and use it to their advantage when a trainer manages to find one of them. Wild Skeledeep are found by Surfing in the Goopool Swamp, and by Fishing; use the Old Rod in the Subhail Icecaps and on Route 21, the Good Rod in the Goopool Swamp, in the Subhail Icecaps and on Routes 16 and 21, and the Super Rod in the same areas.
Shiny Coloration Differences[]
For Shiny Skeledeep, the dark bluish-gray turns a somewhat dark pinkish-purple, while the bones gain some light lavender saturation.
Meanwhile, Shiny Mega Skeledeep's coloration differences are to be revealed.

Prior to Version 1.0.1, Skeledeep uses Basculin's cry.
Mega Skeledeep has the highest Base Defense Stat of all Water and Ghost type in Pokémon Solar Light and Lunar Dark.
It is also has highest Base Defense Stat of all of the Pokémon in the Rikoto Region.
Skeledeep is the only Water/Ghost type in Rikoto.
Additionally, as of the Crown Tundra Expansion Pass of Pokémon Sword and Shield, the only official Pokémon that are Water/Ghost-types are Frillish and Jellicent.

Skeledeep are based off of a skeletal fish, it may also be based off a Dunkleosteus, an extinct armored fish in prehistoric times.
