Spidox are spider-like Pokémon that have a black abdomen, with the upper part of their heads are also black, while the lower part of their heads and legs are a dark grey. They have red poisonous fangs and a red "H" shaped marking on their backs, much like a black widow does.
Spidox possess poison inside their fangs, so when people and Pokémon are bitten, they need to be treated before the poison begins to physically damage their bodies. They can also create spider webs that are dangerous to get caught in.
Spidox are not very bright Pokémon, so they regularly bite completely random strangers and Pokémon without knowing what they had just done. Spidox create their own homes using a series of different string shots and web making.
Spidox live in spider webs in which they create deep inside dark forests. Wild Spidox are found in the grass, as well as using the Clippers on the Spidox webs in Dullfern Forest.
Shiny Coloration Differences
For Shiny Spidox, the fangs and the "H" shaped marking turn from red to pink, the black turns a dark navy blue, and the gray turns a dark purplish-gray.
A single bite from Spidox can cause nausea and drowziness for several hours. They will often attempt to web whatever they bite, regardless of size.
Spidox shares a similar appearance to the recurring character Jeff from the TV Show "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy", who also happens to be a spider that resembles a black widow, just like Spidox.
Spidox has had many different designs through the development of Solar Light and Lunar Dark. One of these designs had it with 6 skinny legs and it was shaped like a toy car. It also had a purple face in it's older designs.
