Spony is a small pony that has a brown colored main body. It has four black hooves, one at each of its four feet. It has green grass for its mane and tail. The grass has tan seeds growing in it. It has two brown ears with pink in the middle, a pink flower on its rear, and two eyes with pink irises.
Spony can charge at incredible speeds into opponents thanks to their strong, thin legs. Stampeding Spony don't leave a trail of damaged plants. Instead, they have the ability to make flowers bloom along their stampeding paths. Because of this, they are known as "plant whisperers" because of their amazing ability to make plants thrive with exactly what's necessary.
Spony are gentle Pokémon, but do become aggravated when hearing very loud noises, and so are known to cause stampedes. However, their stampeding causes flowers to bloom in their paths, rather than leaving a trail of damaged plants.
Spony thrive in large open areas with lots of grass. Wild Spony are found in the grass on the Cycling Path and on Routes 3 and 4.
Shiny Coloration Differences
For Shiny Spony, the brown turns light gray, the pink turns an aqua color, and the grass turns a yellowish-green.
Spony stampeding through a field would not leave a trail of damaged plants; Rather, flowers bloom along their paths.
Ironically, Spony does not learn any Powder or Spore-related moves, despite that the fact "Spore" is in its name.
When you say the word with two "E's" in its name becomes the Fakémon Sponee from Pokémon Uranium.
Prior to 1.0.1, Spony uses Sawsbuck's cry.
Spony's old design wasn't all that much different from its current design; the only major difference is that its body was white instead of brown. Its head was also a different shape.
Spony is based off a wild pony, who needs care from adults because it's weak alone. It might also be inspired by My Little Pony with it appearing to have a Cutie Mark and it evolves via Friendship, which My Little Pony has "Friendship is Magic" relevence in the show.
